It’s my favorite time of year, Halloween! Here’s your guide to the BEST Halloween TV coming this week! Please note all times listed are in EST and are recapped at the end of this post!.
Marathons
For cartoon lovers, The Simpsons is having several marathons of Halloween episodes, on October 27 and October 29 on FXX from 8 pm – 10:30 pm. For vampire lovers (or haters), the Twilight saga will be shown on Friday, October 30 on FX starting at 5 pm and going all the way through Saturday. Scream Queens will be airing a recap of all their episodes on Halloween itself from 6 pm to midnight on FX.
Halloween Episodes
Check out your favorite shows for some spooky spirit! Modern Family, Black-ish, General Hospital, Jimmy Kimmel, American Horror Story: Hotel, Bones, and Sleepy Hollow all have special Halloween episodes airing at their regular weekly times. Bones and Sleepy Hollow, in fact, will have special crossover episodes!
Halloween Specials
If you’d like to check out something a little bit off the beaten path, there are options for you as well! For the Disney lovers or those of you with kids, there will be a Disney special on October 28 on TCM at 8 pm with movies and shorts, from The Adventures of Ichabod and the Toad to Frankenweenie. The classic It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! will be airing on October 29 on ABC at 8 pm.
Music Specials
For music lovers, PBS will be airing Live from the Lincoln Center: Danny Elfman’s Music From the Films of Tim Burton on October 30 at 9 pm, something interesting and different to check out! The Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, Food Network and History Channel will all be having Halloween specials as well to tune in to at any time during the next week.
Netflix
Don’t have cable? Settle down with your laptop and get under your covers to check out some of the movies on there! If you’re in the mood for something a little more lighthearted, go for The Nightmare Before Christmas or The Addams Family.
If you’d rather do classic horror, Netflix currently has gems like American Psycho, Silence of the Lambs, The Omen and the original horror movie, Night of the Living Dead. On the other hand, if you prefer more modern horror, you can go for Scream, Sleepy Hollow or Carrie.
And that’s what’s coming up this week for your Halloween TV! Hope you found something you’d enjoy!
