And lastly, our Best of 2015!
MOST LIKELY TO MAKE YOU FEEL GOOD
Drunk History
Drunk History is everything you want and more! It’s hilarious, educational, and a great stress relief. What better than to see drunk people telling you about history, and actually learning from them? Yep, not much! ;)
I laugh so much at this. And it’s usually pretty accurate history! It’s just explained in a way I’ve never thought of before, so I always think it is so funny to think about facts in a different way – Debbie

FAVORITE TALK SHOW
Last Week Tonight with John Oliver
John Oliver struck out from his position as a correspondent for The Daily Show to start his own talk show. While he similarly talks about news in a funny, comedic way, he also does investigative journalism into real issues. His show has made an impact on the real world on issues ranging from net neutrality to women in engineering. His clips are funny and easy to watch but also bring important issues to the forefront.

FAVORITE REALITY TV SHOW
So You Think You Can Dance
SYTYCD takes amazing dancers from all over the country, pairs them with some of the best choreographers in the country, pushes them to their absolute limits and puts on an amazing show. Each yeah it gets bigger, better, fancier lighting and more Emmy nominations.
Technical and choreographed dance is not a subject that celebrated in public and I think this show captures how it’s enjoyable outside of show biz. Plus, it’s not like they’re teaching amateur celebrities. So it’s not just a quick 3 minute story with people flying, spinning, jumping, rolling, balancing, and stretching on tv. – Carolyn

FAVORITE ANIMATED SHOW
Bob’s Burgers
In the midst of all the dramatic and serious shows that are on TV right now, Bob’s Burgers is a show that you can put on and not have to think for 20 min. The family dynamic is great because each character has their unique personality that is hilarious. The show deals with the family running a burger joint across the street from their arch nemesis, an Italian restaurant owner. I love the humor because most of it has a little shock value and it’s not like anything I’ve seen before.
I love Louise Belcher, she says everything I am thinking. – Debbie

FAVORITE SHOW TO BINGE WATCH
Jessica Jones
Having only come out a month ago, many of us are still reeling from the emotional trip that was Jessica Jones, but we all recommend it. A Netflix and Marvel special, this show is about a female superhero and her battle with her own trauma in addition to her super powered rapist. It was unique in the way it depicted sexual assault and it’s aftermath, struggling to recover and live a normal life. It featured a cast where the women outnumbered the men and were complex, interesting characters that drove their own life and decisions. It was amazing.
Jessica Jones was set up to be binge-watched, honestly. I know someone from Netflix said to watch one ep a week, but man. They ended each episode with enough of a cliffhanger to make you want more but not so much as to annoy the heck out of you and lose you to another show. – Lydia

NEW SHOW THAT LIVED UP TO EXPECTATIONS
None
Supergirl and Heroes Reborn were the 2 new shows we were excited about and, unfortunately, none really lived up to our expectation. Heroes Reborn is a huge letdown, and Supergirl, even if the concept is good and it has lots of great ideas and scenes, it didn’t meet what we had in mind.
