My October was fairly uneventful until the end when I had an accident involving boiling water and my legs. I did discover several songs on the way though so let’s go!
Selena Gomez feat. A$AP Rocky – Good For You
I never thought I’d say this but I really like this Selena Gomez song. It was on in the background at work and I just had to Shazam it. It pretty much fits the mould perfectly when it comes to songs I like at the moment – apart from the A$AP Rocky rap in the middle that kind of ruins my enjoyment a bit.
CHVRCHES – Clearest Blue
I meant to put this into an earlier post but I’d only just included Chvrches in my first one so I kept it until now. This is definitely the most upbeat and fun Chvrches song so far and it just ROCKS from minute 2:12.
HADOUKEN! – Driving Nowhere
This one is almost an oldie being released in 2008 on Hadouken’s first album Music For An Accelerated Culture. I really like their first album because it sounds very video game-y, something that I always seem to like in a song. I missed Driving Nowhere all this time, always skipping it until I had a retro music session a few weeks back and finally discovered it.
Bonus Track: Dragon Age – Sera
As I mentioned earlier, I had an accident which left me bedridden since it happened. Thankfully I now have a lot of time for video games and video game songs! So while continuing my second playthrough of Dragon Age Inquisition I got this song stuck in my head. A lot. So much that I had to put it on while playing. It’s about one of the characters and is absolutely spot on. Apart from this one, Enchanters is also a favourite. I have to give an honorary mention to The Wolven Storm from The Witcher though which is probably my all time favourite video game song.
