Ethnicity/Skin Color: Middle Eastern/Light brown
Hair Type: Medium thickness, Curly
Skin Type:
Acne Prone
Expertise/Usage:
Pepper Potts (practical) about makeup, Evil Queen (dramatic) about maintenance
Budget:
 Drugstore
Best Buy: Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser, St. Ives Apricot Scrub (or the Walgreen’s alternative), The Face Shop Face Masks (Pearl is my fav), and Philosophy Help Me Retinol Cream.
I have acne prone skin because of hormones and all that jazz (I’ll explain another time) and all those treatments severely dried my skin; Cetaphil was the only thing that helped. I love the cleanser because it isn’t drying and you can even use it without water (check the bottle).
I have to exfoliate, it’s kind of my favorite thing to do, and this scrub is so gentle and smells nice too (hey that rhymed!).
Sometimes if I want to pamper myself I get these single sheet face masks from little Korea in NYC. The Pearl mask from the Face Shop smells INCREDIBLE and makes my skin look prettier.
I also started using a retinol treatment. The magazines have been talking about them nonstop and apparently for Middle Easterners like me they help with pigmentation and evening out skin tone so I decided to try a low dosage over the counter retinol first.

Price: Cleanser: $9.99  Scrub: $3.79/$3.19 Mask: Amazon has it as 3 for $4.58 (!)  Retinol: $47.00
Sold By: Walgreens (or Costco!), http://international.thefaceshop.com/english (or Amazon!), Sephora

Sophie

Ethnicity/Skin Color: White as Snow.
Hair Type: Fine AND Straight ALSO Usually blonde foils in blonde hair but temporarily dark brown.
Skin Type: Normal
Expertise/Usage: Pepper Potts (practical, but I enjoy using makeup/skin products)
Budget: Sephora
Best Buy: I have used the Biore brand for a while because it seems to do the best job for a reasonable price (you can find it in supermarkets, chemists or beauty stores). I go for the Combination Skin Balancing Cleanser ($9) and the Daily Detoxify Scrub ($11). In the morning I put on Biore Nourish Moisture Lotion ($12) after I’ve showered or gone through my skin care routine.
In the evening, once I’m tucked up in bed I use Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Night Renewal Cream ($14) and KORA Organic’s Recovery Eye Gel (only if I need it and just a tiny amount of it though because it’s so expensive! – $50 for 10mL)
Also, if I’m having a really busy week or I’m travelling, I use Johnson’s Daily Essentials Facial Cleansing Wipes ($7.50) – so quick and easy without having to lug everything else around.
Price: Apart from the eye cream, I don’t like to spend more than $10 for skin care products, and I always look for them at discount stores or on special.
Sold by: Everything I’ve listed above, apart from the KORA product, can be found in Coles / Woolworths or your local chemist. KORA is a little harder to find but a lot of chemists stock it, as well as it being available in places like PriceLine or David Jones. You can also buy it online!

Cynthia

Ethnicity/Skin Color: White; European French/Irish ethnicity
Hair Type: medium/ straight & lots of it. Bleached foils & natural dark brown to break up the highlights.
Skin Type: Normal/ Combination
Expertise/ usage: Mystique (constantly changing)
Budget: Drugstore, but sometimes I splurge at Sephora
Best Buy: Scent & results are pretty much all I care about when it comes to my skincare routine. I could find the greatest, cheapest product in the world, and if it smelled funky, I wouldn’t want anything to do with it. I love the Neutrogena exfoliating daily scrub ($6), and I’ve been repurchasing this product for years,  I’ll only use this scrub when I’m in the shower ( I elaborate in the podcast as to why). Even though it’s branded as a daily scrub, I think it’s a bit too abrasive to use daily.
There’s no better way to follow up a good exfoliation, than with some toner. My favourite is ‘Vitamin E Toner’ ($12.50) I apply it very generously to my face & neck. It smells so nice, and my skin is fabulous after! I can sometimes get away without moisturizing, but it depends. Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is more of a daily wash that I’ll typically use right before bed or first thing in the AM. Did I mention it was gentle? haha.

Price:  Neutrogena exfoliating daily scrub  ($6 – Drugstore),  Vitamin E Toner ($12.50CAD Body Shop) they always have buy 2 get 1 type sales, Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (I bought mine @Costco and its lasted me FOREVER!)
Sold by: Drugstore / The Body Shop ( http://www.thebodyshop.ca )
