New Feature: Melissa’s Nutritional Tidbits!

Hello everyone!

My name is Melissa and I am a registered dietitian (RD). I am currently working as a food service dietitian in a psychiatric hospital and pursuing my master’s degree in nutrition. Health and wellness have always been passions of mine. I love blending good food and health in a delicious way. Being a dietitian is a great conduit for doing what I love and helping people lead healthier lives!

My main contribution to Common Room will be to provide nutritional education and information about the recipes posted on the site. It’s important to know what kind of food you’re eating and the kind of nutrition it provides. Healthy food= healthy life. I truly believe that what you put in your body will reflect how you look and feel on the outside. Healthy food provides you with the proper nutrition to feel your best and be 100% productive.

If only people knew how many healthy and delicious foods there are out there and how to prepare them, I think they may be more likely to eat them.
