DIY Face Wipes Cocounut Oil Cheap Beauty Tricks

Cheap Trick 1: DIY Face Wipes.

I use coconut oil in a lot of my cooking so I always have it around. I also used whichever face wash I already had in my shower.

  • Recipe:
  1. Mix 2 tablespoons of Coconut Oil, 2 tablespoons of face wash, and 2 cups of water together.
  2. Soak STRONG paper towels with solution in your choice of container.
    1. All you have to do is melt the oil and mix in the other wet ingredients.
    2. Roll or arrange towels in your container and pour the liquids over top.
  • Troubleshooting:
    • I used a mason jar but I think I will use an old flour container next.
    • If the wipes dry out you can soak them with more water. My batch ended up very wet so I could have used less water.

I will say my face feels very soft and clean after using these wipes. I am super lazy about washing my face before I work out so having these around should help with that. Over the long run these will be much cheaper than purchasing face wipes at the store.
Price: Nutiva Organic Virgin Coconut Oil ($25-$35 for a 54 fl oz jar, I use it for many things so a jar lasts a long time!); Target Up&Up Invigorating Face Wash ($3.84); Viva Paper Towels ($2.49 per ??).
Sold by: Wal-Mart, Publix, Target, Department Stores, Grocery Stores, Health Food Stores, Amazon

Cheap Trick 2: Coconut Oil as a skin moisturizer. A small amount of unrefined coconut oil goes a long way. Use just like lotion. Coconut oil is very good for your interior and exterior. Do a Google search and look up the many ways you can use and benefit from the product. Super cool added plus: Coconut oil screens 20% of the ultraviolet exposure, providing natural sun protection. Warning: If you have a dog they will persistently try to lick you!
Price: $7-$16 I usually use Spectrum Organic Coconut Oil, Unrefined, 14 oz
Sold by: Grocery Stores, Amazon

Cheap Trick 3: Coconut Oil as a hair mask/conditioner. Coat hair with oil, roots to tip. I would suggest covering your head with a shower cap if you are soaking in the oil for an extended amount of time (overnight). Let sit and wash out.
